Giving Out Passwords/ User Names

Hello wizards,

I would like to make another post today. I just read the newsletter for Wizard101 and happen to scroll to Mr. Lincolns message. If you would like a link to this you can go to this link: https://www.wizard101.com/game/community/newsletter

In this message, he explains about giving your password out to other wizards. If you do this it will result in a account ban. You should see this message before you log on to the game, and most wizards who log in just ignore that message. Its very important you read it, when you see the log in screen. Never give your password out to anyone please. Here are a few tips from Mr. Lincoln in the news letter.

Keep Your password Secret:
If a wizard asks for your password, never tell them even if they beg, OR say they will give you crowns.

Keep your Information Up to Date:
Make sure you have an email, so you can receive emails from kingsisle. If you gave them a false email, please do get an email so you can receive emails from them!

Don't Fall for it:
If a wizard says he will give you crowns, memberships, or even pets. Don't give them your password. They will take your crowns, memberships and pets instead. Thats what will happen if you ever do give your information out. Just like in real life, you never give your information out to a complete stranger so don't give out your password to another wizard.

Report suspected malicious activity: 
Okay everyone, I have seen websites that ask for passwords, Mr. Lincoln mentioned this in his newsletter and I just thought about this one site I have seen a while back before Christmas of last year. This site was asking for information over your wizards. Passwords, user names. His site said he would help your characters in some sort of way. I think someone reported him and his website has been terminated. I am glad someone did that, I did that too. Also Mr. Lincoln mentions to email kingsisle at: support@wizard101.com if you see a site, and email the site if you see a site like this.

One of my own:
Giving out your password is just like giving out personal information, so please don't do it. Your password and account user name does hold private information such as credit cards, addresses, The town or state you live in! So please don't do this. Also, If you do see someone asking you if you could give them your password and user name, Ignore them, thats the best thing to do in a situation like that. All they want is your account, so make sure you don't just give your account just like that.


Remember wizards, would you give out your personal information in real life to strangers? No you wouldn't. So please don't give out your password. Thanks everyone for reading this.

New blog post: Blog update, blog post, contest update, ect.

Hello Wizards,

As much of you noticed, I have changed my background, header, and colors of my blog! I am really enjoying these colors even though It has nothing to do with the life school. I changed the colors to black, blue, and white. I think its very awesome! I am still keeping my blog name: Around the Spiral with Edward Lifegem, I just would like to keep it like this a while, It might be the best background and all for me :) There is not one thing I don't like about it.

Anyways,
I would like to say I am sorry about the blog post yesterday, yesterday I was feeling very sick, and I was mad at the same time about the commons. The blog post really wasn't necessary. Anyways, yes I admit trying to keep the commons calm when sick, not a very good thing to do. Also, being reported makes me mad, when I am trying to help. Hopefully if I ever do help again, I won't be reported. I just like keeping the game Family Friendly which it should be :)

Fourth Of July?

Anyways, Today I would like to go off topic of wizard101 a little, I hope you guys don't mind :) Today, they are starting to sell fireworks here. Remember, when they start selling fireworks there, don't get hurt. Or when the 4th of July does eventually get here, please stay safe, I hear about tons of accidents, people getting hurt on purpose, hope that isn't you, and sometimes getting killed. Please don't be one of them, Enjoy the fireworks :) Enjoy all. See you all around the Spiral.

The commons: Quick Note

Yes I mentioned this a lot, I promise this is the last time though. Not going to be helping there again everyone. Since I first started in 2009, I have been trying to keep the commons nice. Out of my time being sick, I was trying to keep the commons nice. I am sick right now, running a fever and first I get false reported again. I don't think I want to go there again. I will try to avoid the area even going to the bazaar or pet pavilion. Sorry I am just very very mad about this. I don't even feel good and I am getting false reported and asked why I am there? I know its mean of me to do a blog post about it, but it made me very mad. No more wac for me- the commons can be bad on its own. Thanks everyone for reading this. Hopefully those in the commons are reading this right now, See you around the Spiral everyone. I am not trying to be offensive on this either, I think writing this out is the best way to make me feel better, Sorry everyone.

Also, I am sorry if my blog post is not so good today, Not feeling too well and really am not wanting to type, but its better to worry about the blog post now than later.

Another thing, I finally got my Forest Wyvern hatched for my life character! Very awesome, I would also like to show you guys a picture of my new pet below this. I hope to level him one day to see what talents he gives. If not I will just check out petnome for the talents :) I would like to be surprised though! Here is the picture of my new pet. Oh and other than the pet, I also have My new palace in the background! Very awesome :)

Also talking about the new palace. I would like to say I have been enjoying all of your submissions! You guys really do have a lot of great things that you like about the game! One of the best things most of you have put are about making friends and one nice community Wizard101 has to offer! I completely agree with all of you guys, thats my favorite thing about the game. I hope they keep making Wizard101 better for the community, Also, I like the idea that friends can connect all across the world. You can meet different friends, family, ect. I think thats what Wizard101 is best for! Staying Safe online: 

I have made this in another blog post before, I just would like to tell you guys this again, there have been people in the commons giving out personal information about themselves. I am going to do a blog post about online safety each time I see this. 

1. Don't say " I need a Girl" " I need a Boy" Thats one way you are not staying safe in the game, you may give a complete stranger information, thats not a way to stay safe online.
2. Don't ever tell your password! Kingsisle says this once you log into Wizard101, Yet some wizards still do give their password out, thats why your account gets banned, that person may look at personal information, credit card, where you live, ect. 
3. Just like giving your password, Don't give out personal information, Yesterday a girl in the commons told her Facebook page to everyone! Thats not a way to stay safe online! Another thing not to do is tell your age, where you live.
4. One more thing to stay safe online is, Don't be friends with people that are mean, cyber bullying, using bad language towards you, ect. These people are not friends, most of them you find in the commons, They are just mean people who ruin the game. Unless you want to be friends with people who ruin the game, don't add them!
