Doaw, Contest Update, Online Safety Passwords and Usernames

Hello Wizards,

I would like to give more information about the Ravenwood Ball/  Birthday Bash. Some of been asking me more information about it, and I would like to do another post about when it is, and where it is.

Details:

When: June 25th, 2011 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Central, It might be later :)

Where: Ravenwood- Vampire, Realm 1- There will be mini parties because this realm may get full.

Online Safety, Passwords, Usernames: 

Okay, yesterday I have seen an example of asking for passwords, this time though, another wizard asked if someone could give him crowns and he would give him their password, I had to say no asap! If I didn't his account would have been gone, and banned. This is very bad when you have personal information on your account. Maybe not your wizard101 account, but when you log in to buy something, there could be a credit card, or maybe the place you live! You have to know that whenever someone says they will give you crowns or a membership and ask for your password, you tell them Kingsisle says not to give out passwords or its a ban. So, NO I am not giving you my password or user name. The people who say that will never really give anyone crowns, they will only keep your account and maybe buy the crowns for themselves on your account. I keep seeing incidents like these happening a lot. Let me tell you a story about my account. One time, this person said that their mother worked at kingsisle, and I told them, well does your mother have a character so you can show us? He said no she doesn't and then 10 minutes later he said she does. I knew something was happening in the lie. Then he told me he would take me to Celestia, I said well it hasn't even been released yet, so thats kinda funny! He said give me your password and user name and I will be sure to get you there, and I told some of my friends not to trust him. We all ported away because we was busy and we all ported. He was trying to scam us of our accounts. I told him after I ported that I worked too hard just to have some person take away my personal information and my account. Its really bad when people try to take away accounts, sometimes they do. It gets very annoying.

Anyways,

Make sure you stay safe online, and NEVER give away your password, or NEVER give away personal information to the Wizard101 world! You wouldn't do it in real life so don't do it on there :)

Contest Update/ My wizards/ Password Information

Hi Wizards!

Before the contest update, I would like to make a note about the commons. First of all, I am very mad that this kind of thing happened to other wizards, yet alone my sister. If I would have been logged on to wizards, I could have stopped this right away. She had to read this thing another wizard was saying and she was getting sad because of it, I had to log on and report him and I heard very bad things. I don't think this is right at all. Guess which realm he was from? Thats right Wu Realm, Area one. I can't say the things he said on my blog because it isn't repeatable and I am sure no one following would want to hear it. This is one reason I try to make the commons behave, which I will from now on regardless if they are acting good or bad. Thanks everyone for reading. Oh and she got false reported too. I am going to help the commons every morning if I have to now.

Contest Update:

I would like to tell you I have more contest details. Since its going to be hard picking out only one winner, With this contest I can pick out two :)

My wizards: 

I would like to tell you guys more about my Wizards since I didn't get to. First off, my first wizard I started was Edward Wintergem. I thought when I seen the first commercial that ice was the best school in wizard101 ever! I still do :) It might not be too tough with the other spells but it is tough with snow angel. My fire school which is in front, and my death character which is on my other account, I made that school second. I deleted him however, he was level 36. I decided to make a life, and I deleted him too! Then I made a life again, which is Edward Lifegem. Then I started making a lot of characters, I wanted to beat a certain goal of mine which was to have all schools, which I beat a long time ago. My wizards are all level 60, which took too much work, and all schools. I have to admit fire and ice for me are my favorite schools to level since its easy. Okay thats enough about my wizards for now. I just wanted to show you some of my wizards, Plus if you see any of these characters ask me to add you, I don't mind :)

Password Information:
Just like I said yesterday wizards, Please don't tell your passwords to anyone, Its very important that you stay safe, and enjoy the game. Kingsisle says in the log in screen not to give your password to anyone. A lot of wizards still do it, even after they read it, which is very frustrating. Wizard101 is a really good game but there are always those who are asking for passwords, or even not keeping you safe online. Please don't fall for the ones who say they are going to buy you 100,000 crowns, just like a wizard I have seen in the test realm, There isn't an option for that! Plus how much money would that even cost if they did do it? You won't get your account back. This goes the same with your user name, don't give that out to other wizards please. Its very important you stay safe, and don't give out a lot of personal information online.

Giving Out Passwords/ User Names

Hello wizards,

I would like to make another post today. I just read the newsletter for Wizard101 and happen to scroll to Mr. Lincolns message. If you would like a link to this you can go to this link: https://www.wizard101.com/game/community/newsletter

In this message, he explains about giving your password out to other wizards. If you do this it will result in a account ban. You should see this message before you log on to the game, and most wizards who log in just ignore that message. Its very important you read it, when you see the log in screen. Never give your password out to anyone please. Here are a few tips from Mr. Lincoln in the news letter.

Keep Your password Secret:
If a wizard asks for your password, never tell them even if they beg, OR say they will give you crowns.

Keep your Information Up to Date:
Make sure you have an email, so you can receive emails from kingsisle. If you gave them a false email, please do get an email so you can receive emails from them!

Don't Fall for it:
If a wizard says he will give you crowns, memberships, or even pets. Don't give them your password. They will take your crowns, memberships and pets instead. Thats what will happen if you ever do give your information out. Just like in real life, you never give your information out to a complete stranger so don't give out your password to another wizard.

Report suspected malicious activity: 
Okay everyone, I have seen websites that ask for passwords, Mr. Lincoln mentioned this in his newsletter and I just thought about this one site I have seen a while back before Christmas of last year. This site was asking for information over your wizards. Passwords, user names. His site said he would help your characters in some sort of way. I think someone reported him and his website has been terminated. I am glad someone did that, I did that too. Also Mr. Lincoln mentions to email kingsisle at: support@wizard101.com if you see a site, and email the site if you see a site like this.

One of my own:
Giving out your password is just like giving out personal information, so please don't do it. Your password and account user name does hold private information such as credit cards, addresses, The town or state you live in! So please don't do this. Also, If you do see someone asking you if you could give them your password and user name, Ignore them, thats the best thing to do in a situation like that. All they want is your account, so make sure you don't just give your account just like that.


Remember wizards, would you give out your personal information in real life to strangers? No you wouldn't. So please don't give out your password. Thanks everyone for reading this.

New blog post: Blog update, blog post, contest update, ect.

Hello Wizards,

As much of you noticed, I have changed my background, header, and colors of my blog! I am really enjoying these colors even though It has nothing to do with the life school. I changed the colors to black, blue, and white. I think its very awesome! I am still keeping my blog name: Around the Spiral with Edward Lifegem, I just would like to keep it like this a while, It might be the best background and all for me :) There is not one thing I don't like about it.

Anyways,
I would like to say I am sorry about the blog post yesterday, yesterday I was feeling very sick, and I was mad at the same time about the commons. The blog post really wasn't necessary. Anyways, yes I admit trying to keep the commons calm when sick, not a very good thing to do. Also, being reported makes me mad, when I am trying to help. Hopefully if I ever do help again, I won't be reported. I just like keeping the game Family Friendly which it should be :)

Fourth Of July?

Anyways, Today I would like to go off topic of wizard101 a little, I hope you guys don't mind :) Today, they are starting to sell fireworks here. Remember, when they start selling fireworks there, don't get hurt. Or when the 4th of July does eventually get here, please stay safe, I hear about tons of accidents, people getting hurt on purpose, hope that isn't you, and sometimes getting killed. Please don't be one of them, Enjoy the fireworks :) Enjoy all. See you all around the Spiral.
