2012: The best of Around the Spiral?

Hi there!

Well, this is the last day/ hours of 2012. I've had such a great year with all of you and I can't believe I'm saying it but I'll be gone until 2013. Yeah... Its awhile.. Okay maybe I should say next month, or.. tomorrow! Lol! :) I would never make a post like that. Today I'm going to make a great post of all of my favorite adventures on Around the Spiral and my favorite things about this year in blogging.

The beginning of 2012- Jan-May

I started off at a rough start on Around the Spiral due to personal issues but everything started to get better and I had my first huge contest! If you don't remember, I had my 10x10x10 contest  and that had to be the biggest contest I had this year. I was planning on having another contest which was supposed to be right about now. I decided to reschedule that until the beginning of next year though! I'll explain more in a little.. My other favorite thing about this time period was when Pirate101 was released. I was very excited and I had to start blogging about the announcement and all! I couldn't wait to start playing that. I found out about Pirate101 in April and I had to wait awhile until my ship arrived so I could finally experience my Pirate adventure. Around the Spiral had 150 members/50,000 views during this time period.

Middle Of 2012- June-September

Wow, this was a crazy time period. I loved every single moment of it though! In June I found out about the Pirate101 Fansite submission and was trying for that a few times. August was my favorite month, I couldn't blog about my adventures on Pirate101, but I really loved being accepted to Beta and really thank Kingsisle for that! I always wanted to join Wizard101 beta but I arrived to late and I'm glad I had a chance to participate in Pirate101 Beta! I think its made me a better player and its weird but I think its made me a better player in Pirate101 and Wizard101! Around the Spiral had about 175 members during this time period/ 80,000 views!

*End of 2012- October- December*

Yeah.. This time period.. It had to be the best Around the Spiral has ever had! In October I was trying my best to level and I didn't focus on blogging much. I was trying to figure out what my blog could be like at the end of the year if I made official Pirate101 fansite, this brings me to November 2012. On November 8th I finally made Pirate101 Official Fansite within an hour after submitting my blog. This was the third time and I couldn't believe it. I had a lot of hope that I would make it though :) This was a huge goal accomplished including 100,000 views on blog and 200 members. In December, this month, I had a chance to talk about my Pirate101 character, explain more about myself to my new members. I also had a chance to think about how great 2013 is going to be. I have a lot of goals, and I'm planning on completing them. Maybe I could have some help from you! I hope you stick around with me and continue your adventure Around the Spiral! 

Side Questing with Edward Cringle!

Ahoy Pirates!

A week ago I posted about my new Swashbuckler, Edward Cringle. If this is the first time you've heard of this character, make sure to read my post explaining more about him at this link: Edward Cringle. I hope you enjoy the post, don't forget to read this one after! Now to move on. The last few days I haven't had a chance to quest/ blog much because of the holidays I did have a chance to get a few side quests I noticed in Skull Island though! These quests included experience, gold and nautical experience. I couldn't turn the nautical down because I want to be the right level when I reach certain worlds so I had to do the quests!

I hope you enjoyed the post, I'll keep you updated on all of the side quests! This brings me to the importance of side questing. Sometimes you may not think its important to side quest but once you think about it, it really is. I noticed that if you side quest you get more experience and you may be a higher level when you enter the next world. That'll be easy with all of the hard bosses you have face in the future of Pirate101. I think that side questing is a lot of fun and can really help. You don't have to side quest unless you feel like you should! I wish you good luck in the Spiral and make sure to keep reading for more posts on Edward Cringle!

Christmas is over!

I'm very sad to even say that and I've changed the background to a normal background, I didn't want to keep the Christmas one up b/c I know Christmas is over the day after which is today. I will be counting down on Twitter though in 100-150 days like I did this year! I loved posting so many Christmas songs and I was going to extend Christmas songs through December 31st but going to only post one last song and that's what are you doing New Year's Eve. I hope you enjoyed all of the Christmas songs and I'm hoping next year I get every single day with Christmas song posts! Here's the last one.. until Christmas 2013 :)

Who am I? How did I start Around the Spiral?

Hi there!

This is probably directed to Pirate101 players since Around the Spiral was made an official fansite a few months ago. I haven't had a chance to make this post for awhile because I was very busy! I'm busy now too, but, I really wanted to make this post. I promised a friend on Around the Spiral's Facebook that I would yesterday but I forgot! Sorry about that. I love doing sections, so I'll tell you who I am in a first section and how I started this blog in the second, enjoy!

Edward Lifegem, who are you?

I am a 19 year old blogger, who has played Wizard101 since August 2009 and Pirate101 since Beta in August 2012! I found out about Kingsisle's first game Wizard101 from Cartoon Network and I was currently looking for a video game to play and noticed this, I looked up the website immediately and instantly was addicted to the game. I've been playing ever since! I decided to start a blog about the game (more information about that in next section).  Before Around the Spiral became an official fansite, I was only blogging about Kingsisle's first game, Wizard101. They also have names on there so that's how I got the name Edward Lifegem! Its different than Pirates of course :) I have used Around the Spiral with Edward Lifegem since last April on this blog. For Pirates, I am a level 50 witchdoctor with a new character called Edward Cringle which is currently a level 5 swashbuckler! I love Pirate101 as much as I love Wizard101!

How did you start your blog Edward?

I started my blog in 2010 with a good friend Mary Dreamshade. She also played Wizard101 with me and we created our blogs after seeing a famous blogger/ community manager of Pirate101, friendly! I loved his blog and that's why I still blog now because back when I started my blog I always loved blogging because he did too! I love blogging now so much that I try to blog everyday even when I'm busy like today, Christmas Eve. I really do love my fans and can't believe that this blog has made it this far. I started blogging about Pirate101 in April when Pirate101 was first announced, I couldn't wait to get on the game and start blogging about it. I decided to submit for official when Kingsisle said we could, I submitted the first time and the blog looked too much like a Wizard101 site. I understand that because it really did, I was only blogging Wizards mostly with more detail. This brings us to the second time I submitted, I had a few issues that I didn't catch and I fixed them. On November 8th I submitted again and an hour later I was seeing tweets, from Anthony Deathbane the first time and he was telling me that I made official fansite to Pirate101! I couldn't believe it. I looked at my email and there it was, Friendly said I made official! I am very glad to be an official fansite and I promise you that I will start blogging a lot more going into detail, this post may be going into too much detail  but I really am glad I made this post so you know more about me :) I hope you enjoyed this post and I really can't wait to blog more for all of you (Including Wizard101), in 2013! I have big plans for all you and I hope you enjoy them!
