Happy 7th Birthday edwardlifegem.com!

Hi there!

Today is Around the Spiral with Edward Lifegem's 7th Birthday. Seven years ago, today, I made my very first blog post about Wizard101. From there, I started attending community events, making new great friends, and making as many new posts as I could. I feel my messages of Online Safety, Anti-Bullying, and Acceptance has reached a lot of people here in the community.

As many of you now already know, I created this website on May 10th, 2010. That was the first few years of when the community really started growing. I was already in the community months before, but with the creation of this website I was able to interact more with the community than I ever dreamed of. At the time, I was very shy and didn't talk much with anyone. The community changed that part of me, which was a good change because I wanted to make new friends.

I have seen a lot of people come and go in the blogging community. I am glad blogging is starting to grow again as it did back in the day. My website is actually one of few still making posts even after all of these years. I don't find it bad that I'm bringing such an old theme back into the community, I really enjoy doing that. I think now I'm able to interact more than I ever have before with everyone and that's good!

Future Plans

This year is going to be a great year! I am going to make a few changes, but those changes will never change who I am. I will still be the same person I've always been. I want to interact with everyone in the community, accept everyone for who they are, and remind everyone that no matter what, I am always here for you! If any of you ever want to talk to me, just ask me to follow you or friend you and we'll talk. I'm glad you're here in the community! What does that have to do with future plans? Well..

I'm planning on hosting a lot of great events this year as I have last year. There is now a change in these events. I want to bring all of the community together as a reminder that no matter what, we're all in this together (I'm pretty sure some of you are singing HSM right now :P). We're going to make this a great year for everyone in the community, not ever a select few.

With blog posts, I am going to catch up on the game and everything that I've missed over the past few years. I've been behind on everything, but now I have a chance to catch up and if any of you have any questions, I'll be able to answer them. With catching up, that means I will also have more blog posts about what I'm up to in the game (such as which character I'm questing, something old I just found out but I wanted to share my thoughts about it, etc). I can't wait to make these new posts for you!

A Blast From The Past

I've made a blog post every May 10th since 2011. I decided to post a few links here for you to read if you would like to! You can scroll over and then click on the links below to read those posts. Thank you all for all of your support over the past 7 years. It is great to be in this community and I'll always support everyone here. I can't thank you enough for the support you've shown me! Here's to many more years of blogging.

MAY 2017: 7th Bloggerversary!

Until next time, I'll see you around the spiral!

Kingsisle: EverClicker Greenlit By Steam!

Hi there!

Great news! Kingsisle's EverClicker has officially been greenlit by Steam. This means Kingsisle is able to release their game to a larger audience which in return helps Kingsisle as a company. This is good because eventually, we may be able to get Pirate101 and Wizard101 onto Steam. This means we'll be able to have more updates for all games. This first step getting EverClicker greenlit will lay a pathway to that.

IF you would like more information about Steam and to read our community manager's official statement about the Steam Greenlight of EverClicker, please click anywhere on the image below. This is a good thing for all Kingsisle communities. :D

Random Thoughts / Plans From Now Until

Hi there!

I hope you all had an amazing April. This month was a little slow for this website and other things that I wanted to do. I've been busy with classes, but that'll be done soon (since I only have about a week left of classes). But, I want to talk about another serious topic.. The Future Of This Website.

Plans This Summer

Come on. Surely you all didn't think I was leaving after all of the years I've been here. Right? If you did, rest assured.. I'm going to be here as long as the game lasts. At least that's my plan! I am making this post because I want to talk about a few things that I have planned this Summer and throughout the end of this year.

This Summer I am planning on hosting quite a few events, maybe weekly events? We'll see! I do plan on having events on BOTH Wizard101 and Pirate101. I haven't been able to be as interactive as I wanted to be with the community so far this year, so this Summer I plan on changing that. I'm planning on hosting events on both games, making more posts, and supporting new bloggers, youtubers, twitchers, graphic artists and overall, all of you here, for the good things you do for the community!

Supporting Everyone

I have been in the Wizard101 community since, well I don't really know if I should count joining Twitter as the year I joined. I remember listening to Ravenwood Radio in 2009 (now Spiral Radio with Stephen Spiritcaller and Icywiz) and I remember loving their podcast! I remember every night after the Ravenwood Radio show, they'd bring everyone to Nightside and we'd hang out with everyone in the community. Those were good times!

What does this have to do with supporting everyone? Well, I think during that time, support of everyone here in the community was a priority and still is. I really loved how interactive community leaders were / still are with everyone. I don't consider myself as awesome as these community leaders are, but I do appreciate everything they did. It was so nice making new friends! I actually created this website from a former community member, Mary Dreamshade.

Though times fly, I will never forget how nice everyone was. I really don't know where I'd be if I didn't decide to try to get to know everyone at the time. At the time, I wasn't happy at all. Now I am! I want everyone here to feel the same way. I want all of you to know that I welcome you 100% in the Wizard101 community, community leader or not.

The way I'll support everyone is continuing to having events, promoting your channels or blogs on this website, and reminding everyone here that I appreciate you being here. It's great having you here and I want you to know no matter our different opinions, I do appreciate you being here. I will always welcome you to my events (as long as you remember to be kind to others :D).

The Future

I can't predict the future, but whatever the future holds, I know it'll be great! There's nothing wrong with being optimistic about the future. There's nothing wrong with being kind to others. I always remember that. Doing the things I do actually make me happy and I'll continue doing that. I'll make my posts, have these awesome events with amazing community wizards like Autumn Dreamwalker, Frostcaller and Michael Frost, and support each and everyone of you.

Well I hope you all enjoyed this very random post! I think the main reason I made this post is to let you all know, that no matter what, I'll be here for you! If you ever need someone to talk to, my emails are always open at edwardfrostgem@gmail.com. Until next time, I'll see you around the spiral.

Wizard101: Introducing Suri Skullshard!

Hello Wizards!

Just wanted to tell you that this website is no longer called Around the Spiral with Edward Lifegem. It will now be called Around the Spiral with Suri Skullshard.. No, I'm not joking... Okay, maybe I am. :D Today I wanted to introduce you to my new death wizard, Suri Skullshard!

Last August, I had a poll to ask you all what the gender and name of my next wizard should be. A majority of you wanted me to create a girl wizard and have her name be Suri Skullshard. I decided to do that last night since I promised you all that I would. Now, this is going to be my very first wizard that is a girl and the very first wizard that I'll be questing through the game, that's not named Edward! You would think in the nearly 8 years I've been here, I would have done so already. This is going to be fun because I can finally quest another wizard through the few worlds - it's been over five years since I last did that.

Looking Ahead

I'm actually thinking about using this wizard to farm for the perfect gear in future worlds (I already have the best gear at the moment), maybe recording YouTube videos, or possibly streaming on Twitch! Don't take the Twitch thing seriously at the moment because I know I'll get nervous - which is normal for me because I've always been a nervous person.

Anyway, I plan on doing a lot this Summer so I can increase the amount of Wizard101 related posts that I make and help you all with questions you have about the game. I've been here awhile and that means I forgot a few storyline quests in earlier worlds, new items in new worlds, and more. I'm planning on restoring my knowledge about the game to help you all with questions you might have if you ask me.

I can't wait to start questing this wizard even more. I'll share a post about every world, and quests that I just want to post about - like the old days. This is going to be a great adventure! Death wizards, I love your school! So I have to start questing another death wizard, this time enjoying every moment of wizard from now through every new world added in the years to come. Wish me luck! Thank you all for reading and Until next time, I'll see you around the spiral!

Picture with Autumn's new storm wizard! We went through Sunken City... She'll publish a post soon!

Community Members to Follow: April 2017!

Hi there!

I hope you all had a great weekend. The past week I was sick and I wasn't able to make a meaningful blog post. This week, I decided to make a blogs to follow for 2017. As many of you know, I've done this for SIX years. That's crazy, but I do love showing support for the community out there. This is for the community, as it was years ago. :) I think I made a post last year, but I haven't yet this year. If you weren't mentioned, check every month from this point forward! Here are a few community members to follow:
