Wizard101: Test Realm Online!

Hello Wizards!

I hope you're having a great First Day of Summer! Today, Kingsisle released the Wizard101 Test Realm for wizards to enjoy celebrating the first official day of Summer. If you're like me, you're most likely staying away from the heat by staying inside enjoying the ac and testing out the latest updates on the Wizard101 Test Realm. I've included a list of updates and my thoughts about them - you'll have to read the official Update Notes if you want more information about these updates. If you decide to check these updates out on the test realm - Report the Bugs!

PvP - 4th Age and Daily PvP Awards

This update was announced on the last episode of Kingsisle Live by our community manager, Tom Purdue, and Wizard101 Producer, Leah Ruben. This update was well received by a lot of of the community and may or may not improve PvP issues that many wizards have criticized Kingsisle about these past few years. It seems 4th Generation is a major upgrade from the previous 3rd Generation PvP. 

Chat - Menu Chat Improvements, Emojis, and More!

This update is my favorite update - since I love chatting. I mean, really who doesn't like chatting on the game? Everyone who knows me knows that I could talk everyone's ear off. I have to delete a lot of things I type on my posts because I know everyone wants me to get to the point - for me it's difficult to do that! Speaking of getting to the point... This Test Realm update also brings an amazing improvement of Menu Chat, inclusion of Emojis in chat (example above), and if you say "LOL" or "lol" in the chat box - your wizard will begin laughing! It's always the little things in life that make life so much better! Chat Channels were also introduced where you can click on Public or Private Chat channels where only you or your friends can read your chat - now that's awesome!

Avalon Fishing - Perfect for the first day of Summer!

There are a few names I think of when you hear of a fishing update. I am pretty sure Iridian Willowglen and Paige Moonshade are already enjoying this new fishing update on the Test Realm! Now, I know a few will be shocked when I tell you this, but I haven't done as much fishing as I should have. I'm even behind on it in real life! I really need to catch up on the simple but also relaxing things in life. I hope everyone who does fish on the game has a lot of fun catching all of the new Avalon Fish! :D -- Blogger really needs to add emojis, I know I'm too lazy to code emojis into HTML. 

If you want access to the Wizard101 Test Realm, you'll need a membership and/or have made a Crowns Purchase in the last 30 days. Remember to report those bugs when you see them so Kingsisle can improve the game for us. It's nice to have most of those bugs squashed before it reaches the Live Realm. Online Safety: Stay SMART!

Hi there!

Today I decided to make a quick but also informative post about Online Safety. Last month something happened that we can prevent, but we have to be willing to spread this important information to make a change in not only the Wizard101/Pirate101 community, but also real life. Today I decided to share one important online safety tip with you:

NEVER Share Personal Information

It is important that you know to always keep personal information such as age, where you live, credit cards, user/passwords, pictures of yourself, and more, private! There's a reason this information is meant to be kept private - please stay safe online by keeping this information private. Scroll down for other important online safety tips surrounding Personal Information.

How do you know if someone is using you for your personal information?

• Someone asks for your user/password information in return for Crowns/Memberships/Gifts

• Someone who seems close to you asks you for something that you're not comfortable with sharing or you know that you shouldn't share online: Identity, Pictures, Location, etc.

Note: Don't feel pressured by anyone to share information that you're not comfortable sharing online. You can keep your private information private and they'll have to deal with it. :) We're glad to have you here in the community and you don't have to prove a point to anyone to make new friends. You can be yourself by expressing yourself - you don't have to share your personal information to do that. Don't listen to anyone who tells you that you have to do that. Keep your information private! 

If someone is "well-known", should is it okay to share personal information?

NEVER share your personal information with anyone no matter how well-known they are. Personal information is meant to be kept personal. No matter how nice or well-known someone may be, you should always keep your information private. As I said above, this information should be kept private and you shouldn't feel pressured to share such information with someone because they're "well-known" or "famous". Please stay safe online by keeping this information to yourself!

What Should I do if someone is threatening me?

REPORT: You can report someone from nearly every social media website and video game. I made this list on my anti-bullying post a few weeks ago and I've decided to include a list below of ways to report someone if they're bullying/threatening you. If you feel threatened, you can report those who are threatening you. Scroll over the list below to find out ways to report someone:

Please remember that you have to report for a valid reason. If someone is threatening you, that is a valid reason to report someone. Reporting is an important way to stay safe online, which is why I've included this section on this post.

STAY SMART!

I've made quite a few online safety posts on this website. I don't want anything to happen to anyone here so I try my best to share what I can as many times as I can to help you realize that this is an important thing to remember. Online Safety surrounds itself with Personal Information. If you share that personal information, you're not doing what you can to stay safe online. It is your choice, but I want to remind you that bad choices do have consequences. Remember, you don't have to share your personal information and you have the choice to do that or not to do that. If someone pressures you to do something you're not comfortable with - that's a sign you shouldn't do what they want you to do. Please, stay safe online! I've made it a goal for many years to share this information, now it's your turn to use that information and share it with your friends as well. If you made it this far, you're awesome! Wizard101: Edward Lifegem Quests Again!

Hello Wizards!

It's Monday! Okay, it's not that exciting, but we can always make a day great by saying it's going to be great and trying our best to look past the bad and looking at the good. Today, I decided to do just that by making a post updating you on my questing progress! Lately, I've been questing my life wizard quite a bit on the game with Autumn Dreamwalker.

At our events, which you can view all of our future events by clicking on the Events tab above, many of you have noticed that I'm about twenty levels behind where I should be. I'll be honest, I haven't been questing my life wizard as much as I should be questing him. I'm not saying I haven't quested at all because that's far from the truth, I've quested quite a bit, especially recently! Autumn and I decided we'd start questing again by questing my life wizard and her ice and myth wizards up until we hit cap in a few weeks. We started questing at Crescent Beach by catching my life wizard up to her wizards in Sardonyx in Khrysalis. 

We did a great job questing, in between Birthdays, Graduations, Events and more! We're going to try questing even more over the next few weeks to see if we can make it to level 120 before the Santa Run on July 15th. I have a good feeling we'll be able to make it there since Polaris and Mirage are pretty easy. We've actually done a great job so far. We made it to the Shadow Palace and all we have to do is go through The Galleries and fight Morganthe! I've been stuck in Khrysalis since it was released - so it'll be nice getting my life wizard out of there. Well I should get going and I'll let you all know our progress by the end of Polaris. I'm currently level 104 and Autumn's wizards are level 103. We're a great team! Until next time, I'll see you around the spiral. :D

Pirate101: Gold Farming Recap

Ahoy Pirates!

I hope you're having a great Monday. I wanted to talk about a recent event that I cohosted with, Autumn Walker, from Secrets of the Spiral. We had a gold-farming event on Saturday, where we went to farm Friar Sand in Mooshu.

Friar Sand is located in the Temple of the East Wind, North Landing. If you have a group, you can actually make a lot of extra gold all at once. We went through with Doubloons for extra Gold, and four people to get even more gold depending on how many enemies appear. If you don't feel like farming with anyone, you can always farm alone, but it's always fun to talk to everyone while you're farming.

I had a lot of fun and I want to thank everyone who was able to attend this event. We didn't promote it as much as we usually promote events, but it was nice seeing part of the Pirate101 community there. We may have more Pirate101 events soon, so make sure you check the Events Page everyday for new event announcements! Thank you Blaze, Harry, and Steven for attending this event. Anti-Bullying Advice 2017

Hi there!

I hope you all are having a great Summer so far, well those who are currently on Summer break. Today, I was thinking that I should provide everyone with some real thought out anti-bullying tips that the community really needs.

Ignore

If you find yourself in a situation where you're being bullied by someone (whether it be name-calling, smart remarks, etc), Ignore. It may seem too simple and too good to be true, but you can ignore those by doing the following on social media or the game - by the way, special thanks to Autumn for letting me use your account as examples below:

Mute or Block on Twitter

Block on Facebook

Ignore on Wizard101 or Pirate101

Click on a Wizard's Name, Press the X to Ignore on Wizard101

Click on a Pirate's Name, then click on Ignore to Ignore on Pirate101

Report!

If you see someone bullying someone: threats, slandering/rumors, name-calling, etc. You need to report them to the following Social Media. Remember these things are not okay. It does not make you cool to say hurtful things to people. Even if you see the most "popular" person saying these things, it's still wrong and should be dealt with accordingly. Don't Take Anything To Heart

Remember, whatever they might say doesn't always mean it's true. People say hurtful things online and offline and it never ever means it's always true about you as a person. You know who you are, and if they say things about you. Remember not to say anything bad to these people because nobody deserves to be bullied here. I hope you all do follow this advice! I really didn't follow this advice a few months ago, but now I am! It's nice to ignore, block, and report because arguing with them won't help. They'll only think it's okay to continue. My advice to those standing up for what's right is to be you! Ignore and Report those who think bullying is okay. Remember no form of bullying is okay and I hope the community stands with me to do what's right. Ignore, Block and Report those who are bullying.
