Patriotic March 2018: Recap

Hello Wizards!

I hope you're having a wonderful Sunday. Today I wanted to make a Recap Post for our community event yesterday, the Patriotic March. For this event, we ran around Wizard City wearing our nation's colors to celebrate our love not only for our Country but for all Countries.

Our events are meant to bring people from all over the community (across the world) together for a free of charge event. The reason behind each event that we throw really comes from the old community. Diary of a Wizard, Ravenwood Radio (now SpiralRadio101), and many other Fansites would throw events that would bring this community together. These late 00s and early 10s events were amazing. I met many great people because of these events. Today, we throw events to bring people together just like the old community did. That will be the purpose of our events. So today, I want to say something. Lately, I've seen our events being copied (whether it's themes, activities or specific times of the events). Today, I've decided that I'm no longer going to be upset about this. If people are being brought together, that is what matters at the end of the day. We have to remind ourselves that when they go low, we go high. We'll continue bring this community together with new ideas! Now that I've explained a few things, let's talk about what we did at the event yesterday!

Simon Says To Tell Yourself That You're Amazing

While waiting for the event to begin, we played Simon Says! This was such a fun thing to do and I'm really thinking about having something like this during larger events. I don't think we've had anything like this before, so I might have an idea for an activity at our upcoming event, The Holiday Mashup. It was a lot of fun playing Simon Says with all of you. Thank you so much for keeping it family-friendly and fun! This is why I love this community. The people who attend our events and/or support them are the best people that I've met in this community. You truly are great friends!

The Patriotic March - Recap Videos
A few awesome YouTubers made videos of this event. Please click on their videos and give them a thumbs up. Thank you for your support and working so hard on editing. It really means a lot. By the way, WhiteTiger, you did not fail me. I am thankful for your support. At the end of the day, that is what means the most to me. You're awesome! I can't wait to see your Holiday Mashup Recap Video!

A Special Thank You & Holiday Mashup Event
I want to thank all of you for your support. Some of these events take a lot of work for planning. Although this was a smaller event, it is sometimes tough planning out days during busy schedules to have events. I am thankful that we have such great people to inspire us to go even bigger for the events. It was such much fun seeing all of you again. We'll continue trying out best to make these events as fun as possible. Speaking of fun... our Holiday Mashup Event is quickly approaching. We've been working hard on this event, so I hope you're able to stop by this upcoming event. Some of you know that July 28th is my Birthday, but I wanted to spend part of my Birthday with the community. It'll be fun spending time with y'all! By the way... Don't gift me if you see me on the game that day. I want this event to be about the community, not me. Okay, I should stop talking because I'll be typing all day. I have a few other posts to publish! Here is some more information about The Holiday Mashup - the first event where we combine all Holidays into one event!

New Wizard101: My Review

Hello Wizards!

I hope you're having a wonderful Thursday. Today I wanted to talk about one specific update that will be coming to Wizard101 very soon, the Wizard City Makeover. This new update is currently being tested in the Wizard101 Test Realm. This post has quite a few spoilers, so reader beware! Although, I'm sure many of you have already seen the new updates!

My Thoughts On New Wizard City

Yesterday, I was tweeting up a storm about this update. The main update that was the most exciting for most was, of course, New Wizard City. For this update, Kingsisle updated most of the areas in Wizard City (The Commons, Headmaster's Tower, Ravenwood, The Schools, Golem Court, Unicorn Way, The Arena, Shopping Districts, Shops, Olde Town, and the Bazaar). On top of that, most of the NPCs have been updated as well. There are so many updates that I couldn't begin to talk about all of them. So I'm going to stick to the graphics portion of this Test Realm.

I've been testing updates in the Wizard101 Test Realm since the Mount Release in 2009. This Test Realm is my favorite test realm by far! I can't believe how different Wizard City looks. Other areas in the test realm haven't been updated yet, but I'm sure we'll see that on the Test or when they release to the live realm. Seeing how the graphics look now, I give Kingsisle an A+ for staying with the times, while also giving us wizards who have been here awhile a nostalgia that we didn't think would return with a new update. This is the wizardry stuff that we joined the game for! Thanks for making the graphics so much better than the old Wizard City.

What Is In Store For Wizard101 And The Community?

Judging this update, it seems to me that the game is going to grow by a lot. Everyone loves seeing amazing graphics when they join a game. I think this will help Kingsisle. I'm sure a lot of you think that they're only going to update Wizard City. I'm predicting now that they'll update other worlds as we progress through this year. Kingsisle has a chance to make Wizard101 a larger game. As a game grows in players, the community will grow as well.

I don't know about everyone else, but I have a great feeling about Wizard101's future. I'd say the only thing that is missing is the other world's graphics and of course a new commercial! There are rumors that they'll be adding the game to Steam (if people see it there, you'll see a lot of new players in the game without a commercial). So I wish Kingsisle the very best! I know they have a bright future as long as they continue updating both of their games. Thank you, KI, for an amazing update and thank you all for reading. Until next time, I'll see you around the Spiral.

My blog posts are going to be amazing thanks to this graphic update and photomancy! Thanks again, KI!

The Importance Of Event Posts

Hi there!

I hope you're having a wonderful weekend. Today I thought I'd make a new blog post talking about the importance of reading event posts. I usually make these type of posts a few weeks or possibly months before an event. I make these type of posts so you know what to do before an event - which in return makes the event less confusing. Today, I'm going to talk about a few highlights of these event posts that you should pay close attention to.

Activities
Reading the Activities section is very important because it describes what we'll be doing throughout the event day. If there are any activities, they'll be listed on the event post. The Twitch Link where we'll be streaming will also be provided. Streaming on Twitch has helped solve a lot of confusion as well. Please read the activities section before the day of the event so you're not confused about what we're going to do throughout the day.

The Video Guide
We have video guides for our Run Events. If you watch the video posted on the website before the event, you'll know where to run during our events. Please watch this guide before the event day. You may have noticed that we also have contests surrounding this guide, so do enter those contests as well. This will help you out a lot on the day of the event.

Important Links
One last section that we have in our event posts are the Important Links tab. If you scroll over these hyperlinks, they'll light up. You can click on them to access other important pages. This is also an important section of an event post. If you have any questions about events, you can click on the Contact Me link on future event posts. I hope to see you at one of our Summer Events! Until next time, I'll see you around the Spiral.

Dark Fairy Takeover 2018 Recap

Hello Wizards!

Today I was able to hang out with the community on my first day of Summer vacation! Last year, we had a Dark Fairy Takeover and I thought it would be awesome to have it once again this year. We started this event earlier this afternoon with our Dark Fairy Transformations. We flew around the commons, said hello to a few people in the Arena, and even defeated a few dark fairies. Although this was a simple event, it really makes me look forward to our Summer events. Thank you all so much for supporting us. I hope to see you at our next event, The Patriotic March, next month! Until then, here's a great recap video of the Dark Fairy Takeover from WhiteTiger93:
